Welcome to Lakeside’s new approach to programming! “At the Table” is an intergenerational, all-church offering that incorporates educational activities, mission projects, worship, speakers, and more—all around a weekly Biblical focus.

Each Sunday, join us at 5:00 p.m. Activities and food will be ‘open for business’ from the get-go, then we’ll interrupt briefly at 5:30 p.m. to bless our meal and introduce the Bible focus for the evening. Discuss the theme of the night with family and friends at your table while you eat a “pay-as-you-can” or pot-luck meal. Take time during the first hour to stop in the sanctuary for prayer and focus, guided by our scripture of the night and meditative music. Check out the mission project to help our neighbors in need and learn the ways service connects to weekly Bible passages. Get messy with a craft project or join in planning liturgy. At 6:15 p.m. we will be led into the sanctuary for worship. We’ll sing, pray, and reflect together.

From 6:30-7:30 p.m., youth will split off for Youth Group, children will go to choir rehearsal, and adults are welcome to a variety of small group gatherings.

WE HOPE YOU’LL JOIN US TO EAT, GREET, PLAY, AND PRAY!

Wait, aren’t there four weeks in a month? We’re only meeting three out of every four Sundays. God calls us to Sabbath! Our busy culture doesn’t give us much un-programmed time. We encourage you to take a Sunday evening each month to turn off and tune in to God. Create a space for prayer in your home and seek true Sabbath on your own!
