Staff Transition at Lakeside

On June 30, 2017, Lakeside Presbyterian Church began the next stage of its life as a community and as a congregation. By accepting the retirement of our Senior Pastor, Lakeside’s members entered into the deliberate process of identifying the individual God has called to serve in that capacity for the coming years.

A Pastor Nominating Committee was elected on June 10, 2018, and the members have been hard at work tackling a wide range of challenges. Meet the committee members:

Carol Bredemeyer           Jentry Eck (chair)            Bob Lee                 Peter Teremi
Lora Davis                        Denise Hanser                Sterling Pratt          Tiffany Wolff
Beth Dieter                       Matt Johnson                  John Sprague

Each member has agreed to serve, with the support of your prayers, for the entirety of the process to define, discover and deliver the individual called by God to serve as Lakeside’s next Senior Pastor. It’s not easy work. The PNC encourages you to visit this page often for updates on the process.

If at any stage of the process you feel like asking a question or sharing a concern, please email the PNC at: [email protected]

To help explain the steps that the Presbyterian Church (USA) follows to call a pastor, we’ve included this flow chart.

“This is a time to slow down and to follow an intentional, deliberate process that
is not to be rushed. We want to ensure that we select the right person as Senior
Pastor, one who will lead us on the next leg of our journey as a church.”
