Serve

Serve the LORD with gladness: come before [God’s] presence with singing. (Psalm 100, KJV)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . .Love your neighbor as yourself.  (Mark 12:30-31)

The Session, our elected Elders, organized our church life together describing Worship, Learn, and Serve as the key emphases of our ministry.  Service begins with Serving the Lord, as the Psalmist wrote!  When Jesus was asked to clarify, he invited us to Love the Lord and Love your neighbor. 

Our ministry areas described as Service include our Evangelism and Fellowship Committee and our Mission Committee.

Evangelism and Fellowship committee describes their ministry in three frameworks:

• Individuals and Families are Welcomed
• Individuals and Families are Connected
• Individuals and Families are Involved.  

This ministry team is eager for you help to accomplish these priorities.  Check with Elders Patty Waldsmith and Joy Teremi for more information.

Our Mission Committee Strategy:

• To create a culture of service encouraging the church membership to participate in service projects and activities in both the church’s local and extended presence in the community at large.
• To utilize the physical facilities of Lakeside Presbyterian Church to support activities beneficial to the local community.
• To participate and support activities of the connectional church and the ecumenical church.
• To work with the educational leadership of the church to advocate for social righteousness.
