The men of Lakeside Presbyterian Church gather in loosely-related groups and programs.  Among these programs:

  • Men’s Bible Study – this group meets every Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. in the church library to share fellowship, a light breakfast, and to read and discuss the Scriptures for the coming Sunday morning.
  • Man Movies – this group meets on the first Saturday each month, at 5:00 p.m. in the church library.  We watch and reflect on movies of all kinds.  Folks take turns picking films and leading discussions.  On occasion we splurge and go together to the theater!
  • All-Church Breakfasts – At least three times each year the men volunteer to cook breakfast for everyone on a Sunday morning.  We need cooks, dishwashers, servers, and seem to always have plenty of supervisors.  Watch Lakeside Life for details about the next such event!
  • Men of the Church Programs – These have been held mostly on Saturday mornings, consisting of a breakfast cooked by some of our group, and a program of interest to the men of the church.  In the past we’ve met with one of our own after his time serving in Iraq.  Some of our programs invited men of this congregation to share knowledge about particular areas of work or interest with the whole group.  Peter Weickgenannt has been our leader for several years.  Check with Peter to find out when we’re next meeting!
