 Our food program is being stretched to the limit by the ever increasing need for emergency assistance. Open Door Ministry, with help from Lakeside Presbyterian Church, last year distributed over 75,000 pounds of food for hungry families. We averaged over 400 families per month.We have formed the “Open Door Walnuts” teamfor the Freestore Hunger Walk on Memorial Day and need your help!

More about Open Door… This is something in which an entire family or individuals can participate. The last Saturday of each month (unless scheduled otherwise) Lakeside youth and adults partner with the Church of the Advent in Walnut Hills. We provide food which we purchase from the FreeStore Food Bank and distribute it to people from the neighborhood. A Christmas party is held each December where many families receive gifts. Open door has been funded by the Capital Campaign through December 2008 and then through the General Operating budget. For more information contact the church office.Click here to e-mail..
