Claire J. Miller

Claire Miller has been on staff at Lakeside since 2014. Her duties and ministry at Lakeside vary greatly; serving as the administrative assistant during office hours, and as the Children’s Education Coordinator and Assistant Music Director during other ‘church hours.’ Claire’s duties involve directing the celebration choir and children’s handbell program along with managing and providing guidance to Lakeside’s church school programming.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Miami University. While at Miami her primary focus was piano performance, but her studies also included vocal performance, conducting, and music pedagogy. She has applied her education background in many different facets outside her work at Lakeside. Before joining Lakeside’s staff, she taught elementary & middle school music at St. Agnes Catholic School in Ft. Wright, KY, worked for the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, and has also instructed area marching bands.

Claire is the director of the Northern Kentucky Satellite Chorus; a branch of the Cincinnati Children’s Choir, has a small private piano studio as well as performs ‘run out’ accompanying gigs.

In her limited spare time, Claire can be found in any of the area thrift or consignment stores looking for deals. Her guilty pleasures involve excessive trips to Panera and other fast food ventures. She lives in Erlanger, KY, with her musical husband, Chris, and their potentially musical children, James and Helen.
