Stewardship 2026

Welcome to this year’s stewardship theme:

HERE WE STAND

a common foundation for a communal faith

Over the next few weeks at Lakeside, we’ll be considering what it means to be Christian in community – which means standing with others when those turbulent winds start to blow. We’ll look back to the Reformers and saints who gave us a firm foundation to stand upon. We’ll look around to see how this community is living out what we believe, each and every day. And we’ll look forward to how the commitments of money, time, and prayer that you make this year will undergird our continued ministry in the years to come.

During these weeks, we encourage you to prayerfully consider what you expect to be able to give financially to the church in 2026. We fully understand that financial promises are best guesses, and you are always free to adjust your pledge at any time if you find your circumstances change. However, having an estimate of what we expect our financial resources to be allows us to create a responsible and reasonable budget and an action plan for our ministries in 2026. On Sunday, November 16, we will celebrate our commitments, including our pledges of financial support, in worship.

At Lakeside Presbyterian, we know what we stand for, who we stand with, and most importantly, what it is we stand on – the firm foundation of our loving God. Will you stand with us this year?

What Our Members Say

“My favorite quote: “Hope is optimism with a broken heart.”  I often think how our family’s generosity, and the way we choose to spend and give, is based on when our hearts have been broken.  I invite you to think about the ways that this church shows up for our community, and how you might step into those ways by having your heart broken a little bit.”

Claire Miller

Elder

“While my personal faith may waiver, what doesn’t is my belief that this church and this community of believers is always striving to serve our community and world. Jonathan and I consider our giving a crucial component of how we are able to give back to others and help create a world that reflects the values of Jesus Christ.”

Matthew Johnson

Elder
