Stewardship 2025

Welcome to this year’s stewardship theme:

The Impossible Promise of Enough!

God’s promises are at the core of the witness of Scripture, but often we live in the in-between, liminal space between the anticipation of what might be possible and the inheritance of God’s goodness. In an intentional study of the Wilderness narrative paired with Mark’s Gospel, join us as we delve into the impossible promises of a God who upends our expectations of economics and of each other. The wilderness story is the cornerstone of the Hebrew Scriptures and yet speaks in fresh ways into our contemporary lives, calling us to live in trust of God’s goodness even when the world operates under scarcity, competition, might-makes-right, and a seemingly endless grind toward perfection. In Mark, Jesus offers healing and inspires generosity. These stories become a clarion call for freedom in our choices, patterns, habits, and practices of faith, so we too come to remember, that on the other side of the promise, there is always, always enough.

Stewardship 2025 Video Series

To dig into our theme, we’ve made videos that we’ll be sharing with you between now and Pledge Sunday, November 17th. We hope they get you thinking and inspire us all to remember God’s promises of resources, persistence, abundance, and enough.

What Our Members Say

“My favorite quote: “Hope is optimism with a broken heart.”  I often think how our family’s generosity, and the way we choose to spend and give, is based on when our hearts have been broken.  I invite you to think about the ways that this church shows up for our community, and how you might step into those ways by having your heart broken a little bit.”

Claire Miller

Elder

“While my personal faith may waiver, what doesn’t is my belief that this church and this community of believers is always striving to serve our community and world. Jonathan and I consider our giving a crucial component of how we are able to give back to others and help create a world that reflects the values of Jesus Christ.”

Elder
