What to Expect for In-Person Worship

We are so glad you can join us in person! Here are some FAQs that might help you know what to expect:

What do I wear? Our attire ranges from business casual to jeans and t-shirts. Bow ties aren’t out of place but neither are Birkenstocks. The pastors and choir usually wear robes, so if you really don’t want to have to think about wardrobe, can we recommend joining the choir?

What can I expect in worship? Grab a bulletin on your way in to join in worship. We think of worship as a community effort and love ‘liturgy’, which means ‘the work of the people.’ You’ll be invited into song and prayer but also be offered quiet time and space.

Our music is what you might call ‘traditional’ – we love our beautiful organ and the old hymns that have been passed down for generations. But we also know that great musical and visual creativity didn’t stop in the 19th century and we embrace the many ways we connect to God through contemporary music and arts.

Our tradition also values reading and interpreting scripture, so you’ll hear multiple passages read and a sermon preached helping us all stay grounded, inspired, and challenged by God’s Word.

Is there childcare? Absolutely! We have a wonderful, professionaly staffed nursery. Just turn right on your way into the main entrance and go down the stairs to find it.

Children are also encouraged to bring their whole wacky, busy, noisy selves into worship. We offer ‘busy bags’ in the Narthex.

We also have a “cry room” adjacent to the nursery and multiple live feeds of the service throughout the building if you prefer to step out with your child at any point.
